That chocolate can make you happy is something we women knew all along. It’s nice to know that science tells us now too.
Cacao, and especially raw cacao, has some serious benefits for your state of being and health. Chocolate truly is the perfect food for a goddess!

The power of cacao

Cacao contains tryptophan, an amino acid that reduces stress and makes you feel more relaxed.
The phenylethylamine in cacao makes you feel happy, excited and attractive.
Furthermore, cacao is one of the foods richest in flavonoids(anti-oxidants), next to blueberries, red wine and green tea. This makes cacao, and especially raw cacao, a true superfood.
The theobromine in cacao stimulates the heart and has been identified as one of the compounds contributing to chocolate’s reputed role as an aphrodisiac.
Sooo what are you waiting for?

Raw cacao

Ususally, cacao is roasted and grinded at very high temperatures, through which it loses a lot of its power. Raw chocolate is different. The cocoa beans are not roasted and they are grinded at low temperatures, which preserves the good substances, like anti-oxidants.
Eating raw cacao with little added sugar gives you the most benefits.
